Milburn's offers several options to build an event in our BIG BackYard that's perfect just for you! With our country, family oriented setting you can host any type of event that ranges from the basic ice cream social for those on a budget, to a picnic setting in the middle of all the BarnYard fun, to renting out our beautiful new pavilion with all the extras you could want! Any event held in the BIG BackYard will offer the guest of honor and friends a visit with our BarnYard Buddies, GroundHog Hill Tunnels, the Giant Tractor Tire Tower and all the BIG BackYard Playground fun you could want! What about extras? Hayrides, standard or custom gift bags, ice cream, food packages,want a host, or no host needed? YOU let us know what you want and we'll help make it happen! The possibilities are endless at Milburns. At Milburn’s you can celebrate as low key or as over the top as you can imagine,either way, it's sure to be an event to remember!
All weekend Events are scheduled in 2 hour blocks. If you would like to add more time, you must reserve the next time slot. However, if you don’t see a time that works for you or just have something else in mind, please send us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org We will certainlly try to accommodate! Weekday and non-festival events have a little more flexibility. They are great for Corporate Events, Mom’s Clubs, Reunions, Play dates, etc – if you don’t see any options on the day you are interested in, please email us at email@example.com we will get back with you promptly with assistance. Party reservations are available almost year round (strictly outdoors) and by reservation only. (Absolutely no parties or other group events are permitted without a reservation.)
All prices and options are subject to change, but will not once your reservation has been paid for. Not all options are available at all times of the year. For instance, we don’t have cider in June and we don’t make donuts in March. If you don’t see an option, it’s probably NOT an option due to our seasonal business. However, it never hurts to ask, so please notate any questions you may have in the Special Request section during your online reservation. In addition, we love to customize your events. Just notate in the Special Request section what else you might be interested in, or even if you’d just like to know some of the customizations available. For instance, Corporate Events often reserve the Bale Trail in the fall to do a team building exercise. Or for a child’s birthday, the Corn Maze can be reserved on an hourly basis. Prefer Sundae’s to ice cream cones? Interested in customizing gift bags for a family reunion? So many options, just let us know what you have in mind or that you need some direction or suggestions….we’ll make it happen!

For older kids or adult-only parties, consider Evening Bonfire Hayrides Parties . Always a screamin' good time but you'll need to supply your own party goods and food. Apple Cider & roasting sticks are supplied for private night-time Bonfire parties.

When is the money due & any Cancellation Fees? Only Visa or Mastercard will be accepted for payment. During your online reservation process, you will need to have a Visa or MasterCard ready. Your card will be charged soon after you receive the reservation confirmation. You will be charged a $50 cancellation fee once you have made a reservation and then decide to cancel 30 days or more before the party date, 50% refunded within 30 days of the party. There will be no refund if cancelled within one week of the party or for "no shows". So be sure about your reservation and have a rain date plan ready. Also keep in mind for very large parties, additional hayride trips may be needed and will be added to the price of the party ($75 per additional haywagon).
What if it rains? Parties are Strictly Outdoors and weather permitting-you MUST have an alternatve plan in case of inclement weather, you can simply set up a rain date with us for the next day or week and no fees will be charged to you since you are simply rescheduling. If you choose to not reschedule and have your party elsewhere (home), we will refund any money that has been paid, less a $50 cancellation fee. Let us and your guests know of your alternative plans in advance, just in case your guests call us if it is raining that day.
Where do we park? Please ask party guests not to park at the Farm Market. Park across the street in the extra parking area. Please do remind your guests of this parking request. The small lot directly in front of the market needs to be available for other customers throughout the day (remember, your guests will be here for a couple of hours!)
Do I have to reserve an event on-line? Yes.
I don’t have a credit card and want to pay cash. Now what? Please call the Farm Market at 410-398-1349 and ask for Virginia Milburn. Leave a message if she is unavailable. We will set up a time for you to come in and reserve in person with an Event Associate. It’s important to note that all reservations are on a first come, first serve basis. We cannot guarantee availability for your preferred event date/time, it may be reserved on-line prior to your appointment. At time of appointment, we can review the calendar and see what dates/times are available. If not paying with a credit card, be prepared with several date and time options for your event.
I have a credit card, but would prefer to pay with check or cash. Is this possible? YES! You must enter a valid credit card number during reservation, but can indicate in the Special Request section that you prefer to pay with cash. Your event associate will give you a date that a full payment must be brought into Farm Market by. If not received by agreed upon date, your card on file will then be charged.
My event is during a Fall Festival. How do I indicate the number of guests attending that are 2 and under, therefore free? You should let your event associate know the count for those 2 & under so you will have the correct number of admission wristbands/tickets.
The credit card I entered has since become invalid or has insufficient funds. What now? We will contact you immediately if there is a problem with payment processing. You can give us an additional card to run, or sometimes just correct a typo. If payment cannot be processed or we have not made contact within 48 hours of payment being due, your reservation will be cancelled and that date/time will be available for other customers to reserve immediately.
I reserved my event on-line, what happens next? Our scheduling system automatically sends a confirmation email. Check your SPAM folder if you do not see in your “inbox”. An Event Associate will contact you to discuss details, questions, etc. We will set up a time approx. one week before your event to finalize numbers, process payment and give you a pick-up date for your Event Package. Double check the phone number listed on your reservation confirmation to ensure accuracy so we will be able to contact you (we do not share your phone number and never make "sales" calls). If you do not hear from an associate within 72 hours, please contact us at 410-398-1349.
When will my card be charged? Your card will be charged a $50 non-refundable deposit at time of reservation. Full payment will be due approximately 1-2 weeks prior to event, after all numbers are finalized. Please review our cancellation policy that you agreed to during your reservation process.
Why do I have to pick up my Event Package prior to my event date? If you have purchased Admission Tickets, you will need to have them prior to your event. We are not responsible for lost wristbands/admission tickets. No replacements or refunds, NO EXCEPTIONS. If you lose them, or need to purchase additional admission, you will need to do so at the entrance gate at full price upon arrival. It is your responsibility to hand out wristbands/admission tickets to your guests prior to your event. We will not hold them for late guests, etc. Most people opt to designate a person to meet guests in parking lot or at store front and hand them out. Guests will not be permitted into our BIG BackYard without wristband/Admission ticket. NO EXCEPTIONS.
What happens if I forgot to pick up my Event Package or want to pick up day of event? Be prepared to wait in substantial lines in Farm Market to request your packet. Particularly during our Fall Festivals, you can expect large crowds and we will not staff for these day of pick ups, because our procedures indicate they should be picked up prior to avoid such delays. Remember, your party times are not flexible, so any delay in getting started will take away from your event time and we don’t want this to happen.
We do not accept reservations with less than 5 business days’ notice. What if you need an event scheduled in a hurry? Call us at 410-398-1349 and ask for Virginia Milburn or email her at firstname.lastname@example.org, someone will contact you and determine if we can accommodate you. Payment will be due via credit card at that time and will be non-refundable in case of cancellation, NO exceptions.
How much time do I have to finalize my numbers/head count before my event? MINIMUM of 7 days to alter numbers, particularly to allow time to finalize payment and schedule pick up for your Event Package. We recommend you notate this RSVP necessity on your invites.
Not all of the guests I was expecting showed up. Can I get a refund on the Admission Tickets? No. All pre-purchased tickets are valid for your event date ONLY and are non-refundable. No exceptions.
More guests than I was expecting showed up. What do I do? Any additional guests will result in you (or your guest) purchasing additional standard, non-discounted admission at gate. During Fall Festival Weekends, you can expect to wait in what could be a substantial line for admission. NO exceptions.
What should my guests know about attending my event at Milburns? They should understand the importance of the RSVP date and that any guests that have not responded, but show up will either require you to purchase standard, non-discounted admission at gate, or they will be responsible for purchasing full price admission at entrance gate, and may have to wait in a long line for admission. They should also follow the signs for parking across the street from the Farm Market, and should not attempt to park in the Farm Market parking lot as they will be asked to move their vehicle.
All guests must vacate reserved seating area at event end time, however everyone can stay until closing and enjoy all the fun our BIG BackYard and/or Festivals have to offer.
Can I get there early to set up? If your event is scheduled during one of our Fall Festivals, your seating area will not be available until the start time of your event. Please plan accordingly. If not during a Non-Festival date/time, discuss this with your event associate as the options are more flexible for set up depending on other reservations, seasons, etc.
How long do I have to remove items from my party/seating area? All items must be removed no later than 10 minutes after event end time. Please plan accordingly.
My event is during a Fall Festival, can I take my car into the BIG BackYard to unload? No. For safety reasons, we cannot allow any vehicles in our yard during a festival. You are responsible for carrying all supplies from parking lot to event location and back out. Please plan accordingly. Most guests opt for either meal vouchers, or keeping it simple with donuts and cider.
My event is not during a Fall Festival, can I take my car into the BIG BackYard to unload? Yes, please discuss with your Event Associate when you discuss the details of your event for more specifics.
